Research interests
- My research focuses on natural product medicinal chemistry, mainly on Chinese Traditional Herbal Medicines. China has diverse plant resources and long history of using them as therapeutic agents. Some of these herbal medicines have potential efficacy on cancer disease, some have significant anti-inflammatory activity, some are helpful for promoting immune system. My research interest focuses on secondary metabolites from Chinese traditional medicines:
- a) Isolate the chemical constituents and evaluate their bioactivities
- b) Elucidate the structure-activity relationship.
- c) Find out the leading compounds and interpret their functional mechanisms.
- d) Structure modification of the leading compounds.
