Cacti and Succulent Garden
Construction of the Desert Plant Collection began in 1992 and it was opened to the public
in October 1995. In 2016, it was upgraded and renamed as the Cacti and Succulent Garden. The garden
contains three greenhouses which house hundreds of species of Cactaceae and succulents. The SZBG
Volunteer Home is at the entrance. Near the slope at the right of the entrance, there is an outdoor
exhibition of saguaro cacti. This garden is also one of most popular places for tourists and science
education.
