Tree Planted by Deng Xiaoping
A beautiful council tree, Ficus altissima, was planted near the lake by late
national leader Mr. Deng Xiaoping on 22 January 1992 when he visited SZBG. It is a historical tree which
represents strong vitality and open policy. It is a symbol of the many achievements of Shenzhen.
