Cycad Fossil Hall
Cycads Fossil Hall is currently the only museum in the world dedicated to exhibiting cycad
fossils. Over one hundred pieces of precious cycad fossil specimens from Mesozoic strata in the western
Liaoning, China are displayed here. An introduction video on cycads entitled
Iron tree blossoms make the world fragrant, is played regularly during the opening hours. This
video will take you into the evolutionary history of cycads over the past 280 million years, and is an
ideal place for you to get a general understanding of the cycads of the past and their current survival
status.
